Courses on high temperature corrosion

HTC organizes a course on the materials science of high-temperature corrosion and oxidation. The course is designed for PhD students from physics, chemistry and engineering, as well as for researchers and engineers from industry.

The 4.5-point course includes lectures, lab classes and exercises. The lectures are presented by leaders in the field. John Nicholls from Cranfield University in the UK has recently lectured on this course. The six courses given so far have had an average attendance of 20 students, with equal numbers coming from academia and industry.

The course has been very well received by the attendees. It has been specially commended for its high scientific quality and for the enthusiasm of the teachers. The course fills a gap in Swedish higher technical education.
It is planned to be run again in May-June 2013.
